Programme Administrator Contract: FTC until Dec 2016 Salary: £21, 608–£27,327 Ref: GPIP/DP/01/16

ODI aims to inspire and inform policy and practice to reduce poverty by locking together high-quality applied research and practical policy advice.

ODI is seeking a Programme Administrator to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Development Progress (DP) project and the wider Growth, Poverty and Inequality Programme (GPIP). Part of this role will also include support to the GPIP Head of Programme and the DP Head of Project, through diary management, internal and external communications, and coordinating visitors and travel logistics. You will have strong organisational skills and be self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. You will have good proofreading and editing skills, and be able to produce high quality output with excellent attention to detail. You will have:
• Education to degree level in a relevant discipline/or relevant alternative qualifications • High level of numeracy • Administration experience, especially with budgets • Multitasking capabilities • Advanced IT skills to include Excel (expert level), Word (expert level), email, PowerPoint, databases, Prezi • Ability to learn new software quickly • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Discretion in dealing with confidential information • Self-motivated and able to overcome barriers • Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to deal with people from a variety of backgrounds • Foreign language skills (desirable) • Experience and interest in development issues (desirable)
